Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market, Big Wheel and Ice Skate Birmingham

Kill three birds with one stone with a one-stop trip to Birmingham. If we haven’t already mentioned, Birmingham’s Christmas Market is in fact the largest authentic German Market outside of Germany and Austria. For the 20th year running, it has returned to the streets of the city centre, offering quirky gifts, traditional snacks and beverages, Christmas carols, a civilized tipple or simply a remarkable atmosphere to get you in the mood for Christmas.

Having walked along the stretch of stalls you will find yourself in Centenary Square where the big wheel and ice rink stand. Get your skates on and have a whizz around the ice followed by a spectacular 360 view of the city on the big wheel where you will spot some on Birmingham’s most popular landmarks.

We advise you wrap up warm and prepare for an incredible day of festive activity! If you’re an avoider of big crowds, head out early to enjoy the same great market in calmer surroundings. The market opens daily until 23 December from 10am – 9pm, ice rink and the big wheel 10am – 10pm.
