Monet, Manet and Magritte; Rubens, Reynold, Renoir, Rossetti and Rodin; Gainsborough, Gauguin, Van Gogh and Van Dyck; Degas, Botticelli and Turner - the galleries at the Grade 1 listed Barber Institute of Fine Arts house an outstanding art collection, with masterpieces by all these major names in the history of art – and many more.

There's also a dazzling coin gallery housing one of the most important collections of Roman, Byzantine and medieval coins in the world, alongside superb works of decorative art and sculpture.

Throughout the year, the Barber Institute of Fine Arts hosts important temporary exhibitions and displays of prints and drawings - all in Birmingham's finest Art Deco building. The lively programme of accompanying events for all ages can currently be found online.

Explore exciting collaborations and activities created alongside Birmingham-based artists and organisations in Barber Home, and learn more about the collection every week with Tuesday Talk podcast.

The Barber Concerts programme is currently suspended due to Covid-19, while the galleries are also currently closed, in line with the additional Covid-19 lockdown restrictions for England in force from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December.
