We invite you to explore and (re)discover Birmingham’s rich history and heritage during this 10-day city-wide heritage festival. This year, 100 Birmingham based organisations and societies, involving thousands of staff and volunteer hours, will open their doors and offer events to show off what Birmingham has to offer. Ranging from talks, walks, workshops, outdoor performances, building tours and open days to heritage themed cycling and running tours – there is something for everyone. Discover what’s on your doorstep.
Local places and spaces are opening their doors to inspire and surprise you with the city’s rich history and heritage. Events are taking place all over Birmingham and Heritage Week is an amazing opportunity to explore some of the city’s buildings and outdoor spaces you would not normally visit. Discover the city’s cultural and industrial heritage, learn new skills in a workshop or get active and join a heritage running, cycling or walking tour.
There are hundreds of different things to choose from: cemeteries, canal tours, historic buildings, factories, museums, religious buildings including mosques, churches and cathedrals and outdoor heritage tours in local parks, neighbourhoods and conservation areas.
Enjoy #BHeritageWeek
