Go Diving Show

Ricoh Arena, Judds Lane, Longford, Coventry, West Midlands, CV6 6AQ
Go Diving Show

Aquatic enthusiasts are being given a rare chance to explore the deepest depths of the world's oceans – in landlocked Coventry.

GO Diving Show – which will feature a 30-metre cave experience, virtual reality dives with great white sharks, and a 100 square metre pool for real-life diving – will be making waves at Ricoh Arena's Ericsson Indoor Arena on Saturday 22 February and Sunday 23 February.

Celebrity adventurers and television stars will also be heading to the interactive diving show, which is set to welcome around 8,000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

Among the famous TV stars, authors and adventurers giving captivating talks on the main stage is professional underwater explorer Andy Torbet, who is fresh from being a stuntman on the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die.

Other celebrity divers Steve Backshall, Miranda Krestovnikoff and Monty Halls will be some of the other special guests who will be taking to the stage during the weekend.

Mark Evans, editor of Scuba Diver magazine and event organiser, said: "We are recreating the atmosphere and challenges that are encountered in deep-sea diving, to open people's eyes to a world they wouldn't normally gain access to.

"Currently around 70,000 people in the UK regularly go diving and that number is even bigger in Europe, and hopefully this show can help grow that number even further.

"The cave experience will see visitors scrambling and climbing around in the pitch-black through winding passageways that are lit only by their protective helmet.

"Our tall four-man climbing wall also gives visitors a taste of how difficult it is to reach some of the more-remote diving spots.
