Our neighbourhood restaurant & bar is located in the heart of leafy Edgbaston Village on the lovely Greenfield Crescent. We are open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am and we’re about a 15 minute walk from the city centre or easily accessible by bus or the tram which will soon stop near the entrance to Greenfield Crescent.

Fiercely independent, Chapter’s menu is nature-led, rooted in seasonality and committed to quality British produce.  With all day dining, weekend brunch and Sunday roast, Chapter embraces the community – we have something for everyone.                                                                                                              

Tuesday to Friday we are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Saturdays for all day brunch and dinner (with the option of a 5 course tasting menu as well as a la carte); Sundays for breakfast and lunch. Our bar is open from 9.30am through to closing with an extensive drinks list and a bar menu available from noon until closing. 

On entering Chapter you step into our bar with views over the terrace and into our state of the art open kitchen where you can watch all the theatre of a professional kitchen at work. In fine weather, the bar spills out onto our front upper and lower terraces where you can enjoy a drink and maybe order something from our bar menu and watch the world go by. 

The ingredients for our cocktails are sourced with the same care given to the produce in our kitchen with seasonal and beautifully curated flavours. Our wine list has an extensive number of wines from up and coming quality wine makers as well as a great representation from classic producers of the highest quality and reputation. Through the summer we are running Happy Hours which run every Tuesday to Saturday through August 31st. Happy Hour isn’t just available early evenings from 5pm to 6pm, but also at twilight from 10pm to 11pm to make the most of the lengthy summer evenings.

Our commitment to the dedicated British farmers and fishermen is part of our DNA as we buy only free range meat, LEAF accredited local fruit & veg and daily catches from British harbours.  Our suppliers are an amazing bunch!

Enjoy Cornish lamb, Suffolk pork, Highland venison (when in season) and British and Irish beef, all strictly free range, supplied by award winning butchers  Aubrey Allen based in Coventry. Our British cheeses are all from artisanal producers from across the British Isles. And Worcester Produce, our Pershore based supplier of fruit and veg source from the fields and orchards in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Warwickshire.

Based in Brixham, our fishmonger Channel Fisheries provides fish daily direct from day boats in the Channel while M&J Seafood bring us daily catches from the harbours around the North Sea and waters around Scotland.

We love supporting small businesses in Birmingham and our coffee and our bread both come from small outlets in the city - Ten Four Bakehouse in Stirchley bakes our breads delivered throughout the week and Quarter Horse Coffee Roasters on the Bristol Road in Ladywood roast their own beans sourced from around the world. Birmingham Brewing Company in Stirchley brews a number of our favourite beers.

Our neighbourhood boasts many of Birmingham’s wonderful attractions: The Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston County Cricket ground, the Barber Institute of fine art, the glorious campus of University of Birmingham, and the joys of Cannon Hill park. 

Closer to home on Greenfield Crescent, come shop at the independent shops of Kin with furniture and homewares, and Lux Gallery with original artwork, jewellery and pottery. The furniture stores of Bo Concept, OKA and Neptune are literally around the corner. Make your visit to Chapter an all day event, especially when the fantastic artisan market is on during once a month on Saturdays.
