Thousands of arts and culture lovers tuned in online to enjoy Midsummer Festival earlier this month. The free one-day festival celebrating arts and culture in the West Midlands was held on Saturday 20th June and featured over 12 hours of performances, from 33 companies around the region, including 13 never-before-seen works.

Wolverhampton has been selected as the opening city for next year’s British Art Show 9.

Coventry City of Culture Trust has issued a callout to manufacturers, makers, artists, suppliers, and artisans across Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands to propose ideas for merchandise that will embrace and celebrate Coventry’s UK City of Culture brand.

Hatton Shopping Village and Hatton Adventure World will re-open on Friday 19 June after what has clearly been a deeply worrying time for the local independent shops that occupy the old Victorian farm buildings and for those looking after the animals.

Arts Connect and DanceXchange, are pleased to announce an audacious new project #DanceConnect, bringing together a digital artist, dance professionals and young people, from across the West Midlands, in a dynamic collaboration to explore creative research within the current quarantine circumstances.

The British Motor Museum is well known for its extensive and diverse range of motoring shows, gatherings and rallies that normally take place over the summer months. Unfortunately with the continuing COVID-19 restrictions, the Museum has had to make further changes to this year’s show programme.

The National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, will re-open on 8 June, allowing pre-booked visitors to explore the outdoor elements of the 150-acre garden and woodland site. To ensure the safety of everyone on site, the Arboretum is implementing a series of measures, in accordance with Government and industry guidance.
