Summer Proms will return to National Memorial Arboretum

On 7 and 8 August, the hugely popular Summer Proms evenings will return to the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire. Across the two evenings, an audience of up to 3,000 will hear a selection of toe-tapping proms favourites performed by the Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and soprano Emily Haig, concluding with a firework finale.

“We can’t wait to welcome people back to the Arboretum for one of our most popular annual events,” said Mark Ellis, Head of Visitor Experience. “In 2019, when we last hosted the proms, the event sold out and this year we’ve already had a fantastic response since tickets went on sale, with people eager to secure their place for a magnificent evening of summer entertainment.” 

Ticket holders will be admitted to the event area from 6pm ahead of the start of performances at 8pm, with the event scheduled to end at 10.30pm. A total of 3,000 tickets (1,500 each evening) have been on sale and hundreds of people have already booked their place since they were released to the public earlier this month.  

“To ensure we can deliver a first-class experience for all attendees we are selling a limited number of tickets for each evening,” said Ellis. “Even if there is an easing of restrictions for events, we want to make sure that everyone can have their own space with a great view of the performers on stage.”  

Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Arboretum’s website (https://www.thenma.org.uk/what's-on/events-exhibitions-and-talks/events/summer-proms) where reduced price advance tickets will be available until 30 July. In addition to standard admissions, a limited number of Premier Tickets will also be available. These include a three-course evening meal and welcome drink, reserved seating within the performance area and a complimentary proms programme.
