Wolverhampton’s LGBT Pride event is finally returning to the city bigger and better than ever, after a four-year absence.

This year’s event takes place from noon until 10pm on Saturday 10 June in School Street at the heart of the city centre’s LGBT+ community.

Wolverhampton Pride is a celebration of our city's LGBT+ community and open to everyone to come and support LGBT+ inclusion together.

Over the last 12 months, we have been consulting with members of the LGBT+ community to find out what Pride means to them. We have incorporated this feedback in the planning, format and timing of this year’s event.   We have proudly been working with Enjoy Wolverhampton Business Improvement District, Gorgeous Nightclub, Gorgeous Radio, Wolverhampton LGBT and X2Y.

Key features of Wolverhampton Pride 2023 are a parade, main stage with live music, drag artists and DJs, food, bars, community stalls, face painting, quiet area and more.

Councillor Paula Brookfield, Cabinet Member for Governance and Equalities said:

“Pride is back, and I’m delighted to say it will be bigger and better than ever. It’s a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate who they are in a safe and happy, party environment.

“Pride is our city’s celebration of the LGBT+ community, is open to everyone and promises to be a great day. I am thrilled that we are launching this during LGBT History Month, and I encourage everyone to get involved.”

Councillor Steve Evans, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member with responsibility for events, said:

“Over the years, Wolverhampton Pride has been organised by many different people and organisations, has been held in different venues and at different times of the year. Wolverhampton Pride is an important event to the LGBT+ community and to the City.

“As a council, we wanted to ensure that Wolverhampton Pride becomes a firm staple in the city's events calendar; that it is representative and reflective of what the LGBT+ community want, and that it’s celebrated and something that our city can truly be proud of.

“I’m absolutely delighted that we have been able to take this feedback on board and this year we can bring it back. I urge people to get the date in their diary and book their tickets as I’m sure they will get snapped up quickly.”

Tickets for Pride are now on sale today (Friday 3 February) and are £3 for adults, £1.50 for concessions (12-17 year olds, over 65s, disabled and carer) and under 12s free. Buy your tickets at www.Wolverhamptonpride.co.uk

More details on the line up and parade route will be announced in the coming weeks so make sure you follow Wolverhampton Pride on Facebook for latest information and announcements

I was in Canada by car, it is a very nice country for recreation. People are very kind and responsive. The beauty of this city cannot be expressed in words, and especially when we took the car at <a href="https://rental24h.com/canada/underage/under-25";>under 25 car rental Canada</a>, I was delighted, we took the car, it is very cool

As a busy professional, I don't have a lot of time to spend browsing stores for new clothes. That's why I've started shopping for clothes online more and more. Recently, I decided to try out a UK-based website that offered delivery to my home. I was impressed with their wide selection of clothing in various styles and sizes, and the ordering process https://inlower.com was quick and easy. Within a few days, my clothes arrived, and I was very happy with the quality of the garments. Overall, I would definitely recommend online clothes shopping for anyone looking for a hassle-free way to update their wardrobe.
